Damn straight you're gonna get your kids immunized, don't like it, homeschool them

New Jersey now requires kids looking to go to preschool and child care centers to get flu vaccines. Many parents think you can't require them to immunize their children 'In America', like it's some socialist plot out of the old Soviet Union. To them we say "HARD CHEESE". You CAN be required to immunize your children. Hell, Johnny had to get shots before he went to school back when the world was still in black and white. It only makes sense to protect others from your child's creeping crud. Johnny doesn't want your kids illness. It passes quite easily from your kids to somebody else's kid who then gives it to a parent who works in an office with Mrs. Action Space Punk who then brings it home to good old Johnny. Kids are germ factories. Duh.

Now some group calling itself New Jersey Coalition for Vaccination Choice is hiding behind some reasoning that flu vaccines (and you'll notice their name isn't just about FLU vaccines, it's all inclusive) can cause autism despite the fact that study after study after study does not prove their point. What's next, these people doesn't want their kids immunized (as New Jersey law requires) by sixth grade for things like meningitis, tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis?

Bottom line: Vaccinations are NOT a choice. They should never be a choice. Hell, we'd like to see the HPV virus vaccine mandated for girls to keep them safe from cervical cancer. So many insipid laws are passed under the guise of "oh think of the children", well, here's one that helps actually physically tangibly protect children, and yet some people are fighting it.

It's making Johnny sick it is...

  1. There are a lot of parents out there resistant to vaccinations because they are under the misguided impression they lead to autism. I like to think that one bad case of measles would change their minds but the misinformation is gaining traction. They should be glad kids don't have to get smallpox vaccinations anymore - I have a scar the size of a quarter from mine at age 5.

  2. sounds like some stupid ASSWIPE wasn't smart enough to stay home instead of contaminating everyone in their office to bring it home to their families.

It ridiculous when parents aren't responsible enough to get their children vaccinated ESPECIALLY when foreigners come from their countries and BRING some strange disease and they possibly can spread something.

and in regards to the HPV vaccination, some mothers are hestitating to get the daughters vaccinated because of the COST.
hmm, lets see. the cost versus their dauagher getting cervical CANCER. thats a REALLY difficult choice.

  3. Vaccinations can lead to autism - Hannah Poling's case proves that. And her case is not the first, and won't be the last, to be won (or conceded in the Poling case).

And the previous comment about HPV - parents are avoiding it because it causes death and paralysis, not because of the cost.

  4. 2nd anonymous, here are a few links you might find helpful. Overwhelmingly medical studies show there is no link (and do entities simply settle cases to make them go away?). The far greater risk is the amount of people who DIE each year from the flu, however it's spread, than the miniscule, if any true risk of autism. I continue to support mandatory vaccinations and there is a way to not get your child immunized an that is to home school them

  5. 2nd anonymous: Settlement of a court case is NOT proof of a link between vaccinations and autism.

  6. Wake up people!!! Have you even researched any of the ingredients in the flu shot alone? You want Gardasil mandated? If you just do a google search for 'Gardasil' and 'Deaths' you will be shocked. You want a vaccine for a sexually transmitted diesease that usually clears up on its own and barely ever causes cancer?

We should go back to a vaccine schedule from 20 years ago and see how much less autism we have. The CDC is sticking evey vaccine on the schedule just becase a vaccine has been made to supposedly prevent an illness. Do you really think that injecting your baby with tons of these viruses is going to have only good results, no bad?

  7. Sorry Johnny Action, but 36000 is not the flu shot death number. It's a made-up number.
If you read CDC Mortality and Morbidity Numbers, you will see that actual flu deaths are VERY low. When you do the work to show the Morbidity and Mortality equals 36,000 please put your spreadsheet on the web so we all can see.

  8. I meant '36000 is not the flu death number'

  9. Anon #2--99% of the tests show no link between flu vaccines and autism. That is what I am basing my argument on. If there were say 60% of the tests that showed no link, I'd be on your side. Independent tests, from many many different corners of science bear these facts out.

Would you be willing (if you have kids, I don't wanna get out my 'jump to conclusions mat') to homeschool your kids to keep them from being flu vaccinated for school? Is it only the flu vaccine you have an issue with, or more, or all of them?

  10. Johnny Action,

I do have kids and yes I would be willing to homeschool to avoid shots. But really, the flu shot only protects from 3 strains, which are almost always wrong; the flu shot studies repeatedly show flu shot is not very effective; flu shot is full of toxins; there are no long term safety studies; there are no studies of this shot in combination with other shots; 6 month old children getting the shot might have egg allergies and not know it; the list goes on - why is this mandated for children?

I do have issue with other vaccines as well, but flu shot ranks as most offensive on my list currently.
If HPV was mandated, that would probably tie as first place for most offensive.

  11. I wanna jump in here--is there something that makes these immunizations more dangerous than the ones we got as kids? They were mandated as I recall, I had to have all of them, measels, diptheria, booster shots, and the like. I don't recall any jump in anything like autism or deaths from them.

I think the idea back when was to make US the kids safer and not so much those around us.

I'm leaning towards Johnny's opinion here as immunizations have been mandatory since they've been around. Why the outcry now?

  12. The outcry now comes from the fact that school kids today get 3 times as many jabs as we did back in the 70s/80s growing up.
NJ just added 4 new shots to the list of mandated vaccines for kids to get into school this year and an annual flu shot for babies 6 to 59 months old was one of them. Lots of parents who aren't opposed to most shots are very upset about the flu shot mandate for a number of reasons. Learn more at njvaccinationchoice.org

  13. Lisa, and anonymous #2, I respect your passion about this, I do. I respect when people fight the system. I doubt we'll ever agree on this topic but I'm glad you're standing up for what you think is right.

One point on the webpage I WOULD wholeheartedly support, and DO support is that drug makers be held liable for injury or death in ANY immunization or ANY drug that causes harm or death. We give pharma companies free reign to do what they want to with no repercussions.
