Still time to head out to the Jersey City St. Patrick's Day Parade

Now, with 70% less disturbing behavior than Hoboken's St. Patrick's Day Parade. The Jersey City Parade starts from Lincoln Park and Kennedy Boulevard and heads north up to the reviewing stand at Journal Square. It starts at 12:30 and will go until about 3:30 give or take.

Although Johnny's Irish he's also an atheist. He's gonna drop a history lesson on you as to why he refuses to celebrate St. Patrick. Why is St. Patrick famous? Legend says he drove the snakes out of Ireland. Snakes were a metaphor for Pagans and other non-believers. It was celebrating Christianity's victory in Ireland over people like Johnny who don't get caught up in stupidity like religion. Supposed Christians sat in bars these last few weeks enjoying a drink called 'Irish car bombs', a drink that no doubt 'celebrates' the Catholic vs. Protestant violence in Northern Ireland. They are actually throwing back alcohol in celebration of Christian savagery on their fellow Christians.

FUN!

Instead, let's enjoy some Irish culture and music shall we? And you'll be getting more Irish culture on Tuesday, March 17th.

  1. Hey Johnny - is that your photo of what looks like a theater marquee - the Stanley? Where is it? Great photo!

  2. Yes, it is my photo, took it on my way to the Empire State Building. The Stanley is right next to the Journal Square PATH Station at Pavonia and Kennedy Boulevard. It's a grand old theater, only used for church services these days.

    Thanks for the compliment...
