Late night open thread

It's often been said that a team's best players have to play their best in big moments. Case and point:

Jump on Devils fans, there's room for the good fans of New Jersey to tag along and watch some quality guys playing an exciting brand of hockey. You don't have to be open about it, you can be all secretive but there's plenty of room on the Hockey Inc. bandwagon. Johnny cheers for the Devils when he's at their games but will always have the Wings #1 in his heart. You can do the same here, until Devils training camp. Give Johnny and Trixie and the old Ypsi City Desk crew here some love. Besides, you don't REALLY want Cindy Crosby winning a cup do you? Or Boston? Or Carolina. Or Ovechkin and his antics? Devils fans are blue collar roll up your sleeves salt of the earth folks much like Wings fans. New Jersey and Detroit are always somebody's punchline. New Jersey and Detroit both make cars. New Jersey has it's Devil and Detroit has it's Nain Rouge. They both also win a lot of Stanley Cups. Ride with us Devils fans, you're not ready for hockey to be over and come on, you're not gonna watch the NBA are you? Of course not, you're hockey fans.

Time for Jersey City, After Dark

  1. Devils fans, it'd be nice to have you along. You lost a tough series to Carolina that you took to game 7 - a true fan respects that. Are all welcome!

And Johnny, how is it I lived in SE Michigan for 13 years and never heard of Nain Rouge?????? I should have been scared witless every time I stepped outside... but ignorance was bliss, I guess. Next time I'm in Detroit I'll be keeping my eyes peeled. And you know I don't drink much so maybe I'll be able to provide a valid witness account...

  2. The old Nain Rouge has been seen before riots, the giant ice storm in the 70's and assorted other maladies, some not mentioned in that brief Wiki.

    Wicked.

  3. Has Nain Rouge been dancing all over our beloved state for the last 8-9 years or so? Recession has been pervasive and hard to lick in MI. Automakers are hitting the skids (so to speak).

Can we transport the little bugger to, say, Indiana?
