It's nice to know the Matlock crowd is alive and well in FuHo

Residents in Hoboken are upset. They are upset with all the noise after the bars let out. They are upset with the short WHOOP bursts noise police cars make early in the morning in Hoboken. They are upset by the sounds of large garbage trucks. In essence, the Matlock crowd in FuHo is fed up and they're not gonna take it anymore.

A group of residents confronted mayor Dawn Zimmer, Police Chief Anthony Falco, and Zoning Officer Ann Holtzman at a local "quality of life' town hall style meeting. No matter what the original topic was, it came back to noise.

Now, don't get Johnny wrong, he does have sympathy for the residents suffering a rowdy Friday and Saturday night influx of revelers. He lived in the student ghetto in Ypsilanti Michigan for Eastern Michigan University. He knows all about loud keg parties, blaring music, and inconsiderate crowds that sometimes use your property as a bathroom and or vomitorium. Police patrols SHOULD be on the lookout for people too inconsiderate to realize people live where you're now singing the refrains of Donna Summer's 'Last Dance' because it was just playing in the bar before you got shoved out the door at closing time. We agree that often times groups like these understand only pepper spray and tasers.

But REALLY FuHo, police sirens? Those are kind of necessary. Garbage truck backup beeps? Would you rather no police or garbage trucks come down your streets at all or should they seek an approved schedule of when it's ok to come down your boulevard?

Tell ya what, why don't all you people who are obviously unwanted and unappreciated in FuHo come spend that cash right here at some of the best darned bars around. Come on over, have a great time, enjoy a moonlight stroll along our expansive riverwalk with the best views of NYC around. Don't be insulted by Hoboken residents, come on over here to Cool City and let us show you a good time. Besides, when it comes down to it do you want to party in a town (Hoboken) with just an average no fun allowed no nonsense mayor or would you like to come to Jersey City and drink where the king of drinking mayors lives? You know where the party is Hudson County, now come to Jersey City and claim your barstools.
