Good economic news to report -- Goya Foods may expand into Jersey City

The USA's largest Hispanic food company has begun looking into opening a 50K square foot distribution center here in Jersey City. While the idea is in the planning stages Mayor Healy confirmed a couple meetings with Goya over the idea of a Jersey City bump in employment numbers for Goya over the last couple years and was looking forward to more:

“We are always interested in bringing investment and the associated tax dollars and jobs to our city, and are hopeful that through ongoing efforts by my staff that we will be able to facilitate and hopefully bring to fruition this proposed expansion.”

Now we're not sure how many cereal boxes stuffed with cash this deal will finally take to get done but if you notice some of the people who might be involved in this kind of deal sitting in the Brownstone Diner bringing their own box of Lucky Charms to the restaurant, call Johnny.
