Jersey City was singled out by CNN when they did a zip code study of real estate of places gays can find a nice affordable housing in a gay friendly community. Of Jersey City the story said while many gay males prefer Chelsea for a home:
A short train ride away, however, is downtown Jersey City, N.J., where many same-sex couples live, according to Trulia. The median price per square foot there is $452, almost one-third of the prices in Manhattan.
The article said lesbians preferred Park Slope in Brooklyn.
We're happy as all get out that the gay community has such a positive view of Jersey City. We'll do our part to ensure this stays the case. We also think we're one governor away from making gay marriage legal on this side of the Hudson River.
