Here's a fun retro look back at New Jersey's old movie theaters and drive-ins. As Johnny learned from reading the article not only did America's first movie studio, Thomas Edison's Black Maria, open in New Jersey (West Orange, 1893), the first feature film in movie history, "The Great Train Robbery," was shot in Essex County in 1903. It's the a Garden Stater's blood to feel connected to this.
