It's a college football Saturday scoreboard
First things first, Michigan State creamed Montana State 44-3. Nice going Sparty. On the other hand, Eastern Michigan laid yet another egg against a named team with a miserable 27-14 loss against Army. Eastern has had one signature win in forever and that was a 30-27 victory over San Jose State. Too bad that was back in the 1987 California Bowl. New big man on campus for Syracuse, former Duke basketball guard Greg Paulus, utterly blew the game in overtime versus Minnesota's Golden Goofers with an incredibly bad interception that cost the Orange a chance at any points. Welcome to Syracuse Greggy.
In other action Notre Dame and their coach "Front Butt"® Charlie Weis got it done in South Bend vs. Nevada. Ohio State pretty much shut down the betting line in next week's USC game at the Horseshoe by turning in an anemic effort vs Navy barely winning 31-27. Seriously, Ohio State showed America they'll only need to watch the first quarter next Saturday night before everyone can head off to a late supper. Oklahoma took the typical OU Sooner gack today in losing to BYU. So what if their Heisman QB was injured? OU was SUPPOSED to be third best in the country. The bigger the game the smaller the Sooner. #1 Florida beat down the Mississippi Widow's Home for the Blind, while #2 Texas had no trouble with some guys throwing the ball around the parking lot they found around a kegger.
