Spelling does not seem to be a strong suit in Brooklyn

For whatever reason, the NY Daily News points out that city street signs as well as subway signs seem to be misspelled with regularity. One street, a mere four blocks long has four misspelled signs. A G train line reads Brodaway instead of Broadway. Other amusing results can be found here.
