Friday night MULTIMEDIA EXTRAVAGANZA with EDDIE MONEY!

In 1979 they made a really bad movie called Americathon. The country is going broke and is about to be repossessed by the native Americans to wit the President holds a telethon to raise the necessary moolah. It's really bad. The only reason in fact many musicphiles remember the movie at all is that the title song was a pretty good Eddie Money song 'Get A Move On' which was mostly lost to history, sucked under by the undertow of this shitheap of a film.

Saved from drowning, it's Eddie Money wrapping things up tonight on the Music Series.

Friday night MULTIMEDIA EXTRAVAGANZA with EDDIE MONEY!

Driving back from Asheville gives one time to really listen to satellite radio (besides Johnny's own driving CD's) and hear who is playing what. The snarkily named 'The Joint' a reggae station was a bust but the blues channel sounded good heading through the rainy and foggy mountains of Tennessee. Anyway, the 70's channel played an old Eddie Money song that while not this one did remind Johnny of this one, a song long lost to history.

Johnny would like to make a personal observation if he may...

Of course he may, it's his website.

Eddie Money is a fine man. He made his songs, they got played and now obviously one is being used in a commercial where Mr. Money somewhat parodies his song "Two Tickets to Paradise." Eddie, you're a fine radio DJ with a lot of great stories to relate but man if your face gets any longer in the ads they can pretty much replace your face with the mask from Scream.

That was a Johnny Action Space Punk personal observation.
