Johnny could use a good news story this morning...

...because the simple act of Johnny walking his dog almost cost a Toll Brothers worker his life this morning when he for some unknown reason ran his mouth and yelled at Johnny. Johnny actually looked to the side of him and behind him to see if the goober was even talking to him and to this moment he has no idea why. Johnny was just checking messages on his cell phone while his dog peed and Mr. Toll Brothers let fly. Johnny then (being from Detroit and never one to miss a good argument) walked up to the guy and asked what his issue was. He hemmed and hawed in front of his worker buddies and then at one point acted tough until Johnny moved closer and got right up to his face and once again told him to "Get back into that building you're working on you **** and while you're working in it contemplate the fact you will never be able to afford to live in it." He left, grumbling under his breath and Johnny happily went on his way (He was simply walking his dog to begin with) and he's now ready for some good news, some fun stuff if you will.

Montclair had a puppy apocalypse or Dog Walk of the Dead if you will as a fundraiser for the Montclair Animal Shelter last night and the video and the pictures of the ghoulish pups are just too cute and so much fun. Follow this link and you can see all the puplets ready for their star-turn for Halloween.

The boil water for downtown CONTINUES today and may extend into Wednesday

Way to go United Water! Yes fans of drinking clean water, brushing your teeth and cooking food, the folks at United Water gave a 6am update and that along with last night's report by the Jersey Journal tells us this could be a while. United Water listed this number (201-767-9300) for media inquiries, just tell them Johnny sent you and he's kind of media. Besides, are you really going to get any info calling the main line?

See Spot Rescued is having an adoption event this upcoming Saturday

And what goes better with the Holiday season that a warm puppy? Or a wonderful older pup who is just aces with kids and families? Our friends at See Spot Rescued are holding an adoption event this upcoming Saturday at K9dergarten at 173 Newark Ave. from 12-4.

See Spot Rescued has a wonderful selection of great dogs looking for a forever home. If you follow this link to their Facebook page you can see some of the great pooches ready for adoption. The dogs come spayed or neutered and are microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. How does Johnny know this? He adopted his Game of Thrones dire wolf from SSR (well OK they'd probably get upset with Johnny saying they have actual dire wolves for adoption so let's just say a small dire wolf lookalike). You will be AMAZED at how cute these pups are. Johnny never misses a chance to tell people when they comment how cute his dog is that he got her from See Spot Rescued. People seem surprised that it's not a dog with three legs or cut up from dogfighting. NO, these pups are cute and loving and wonderful.

They just need you.

Come on people, let's make this event a HUGE success

As a community let's help the great people at See Spot Rescued get some of these wonderful pups adopted at this Hound About Town event. Johnny knows first-hand how great this organization is and how much he himself has gotten to know more neighbors out walking his pooch.

Adopting a dog really can be a great way to get to know your neighborhood besides the obvious benefits. Just click on the image for a bigger more readable size.
