It's all about the music today dear readers

Now, if the fancy strikes you, Neko Case is playing a short set at the Barnes and Noble on Union Square tonight starting at 7 pm. Neko will be there along with comedian, writer and actor Michael Showalter. Neko will play three songs and then the both of them will answer some questions. Johnny would be all over this but for one thing tonight. Tonight he gets to cross off a bucket list concert which now pretty much narrows the list of artists he wanted to see but never did to the Sex Pistols. Johnny is going to the Bowery Ballroom to be part of a sold out crowd where the American legend known as Wanda Jackson will be ripping it up. Wanda Jackson is one of the rare artists who has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Gospel Music Hall of Fame and the Rockabilly Hall of Fame. We're talking about a music giant here people.

If you have not checked out Wanda's latest work, The Party Ain't Over, with The White Stripes Jack White (Yeah Detroit!) what are you waiting for buckos and buckettes? It's a must.

Johnny wades into the fray at the pillow fight in Union Square for your entertainment

Even though pillow fighters were urged not to swing at people with cameras Johnny took many many shots with pillows to bring you, the Jersey City Desk reader, the action up close and personal. There is nothing the reporters here at the JCD won't do for your enjoyment (unless it's really dangerous, or difficult, or annoying, or, well, you get the point).

That's right pillow fight fans, tomorrow is a day made just for you. Bring a pillow (a website said feather pillows were fine too) and show up at Union Square tomorrow at 3 pm and just wait for the signal. Give your glasses to a friend jump in and wail away.

Johnny will be signing copies of his new book "Oreos, Doritos; My Time as a Guard for the Wicked Witch of the West" at Republic off of Union Square in the Big Appletini tonight. Due to time constraints he cannot make balloon animals or do cartoon character imitations anymore. He's not a trained monkey ya know, just an unskilled one who constantly proves the old adage "A million monkeys with a million typewriters..."
