Friday night MULTIMEDIA EXTRAVAGANZA with KELLY HOGAN!

This song evokes so many memories for Johnny. It's a great song but when you can make an extra connection because it reminds you of many things and times in life, well that gets it on the Music Series. A 70's song coming from the neighbor's pontoon in the old neighborhood, a great country song coming in loud and clear (with none of that annoying channel drift) on an AM radio station at night while lying in bed with his transistor radio on WRVA Richmond Virginia or WSM in Nashville.

On a side note, Silica Gel, don't eat that.

From the terrific album "I Like to Keep Myself in Pain" here are the song stylings of Ms. Kelly Hogan and 'Haunted'

How about a nice scaaaaaaary story about New Jersey on this fine October morning...

It's called the most haunted road in America and it's right here in the Garden State. Please feel free to share your stories about haunts and hauntings with us here. Nobody will ever think you crazy as Johnny lived in a haunted house for some 20 years.

Clinton Road, New Jersey: The most terrifying road in the U.S.
By Joe Dorish | Yahoo! Contributor Network – Tue, Oct 4, 2011

About seven years ago, my cousin Julie and her husband Mark moved back to New Jersey from South Carolina. After months of searching, they found a great house in West Milford, New Jersey. Julie, who I grew up with, called me and asked me to meet them at the house and let them know my opinion.

After checking out a map online, I saw the home was on a street just off Clinton Road north of Route 23. I drove up Green Pond Road, got onto Route 23, and then turned right onto Clinton Road. Almost immediately, I noticed that Clinton Road was different from almost all the roads in New Jersey.

Sunday with the Arts

Yes, it's time for a little high brow and intelligent yet soul searching time with the arts.

The Guggenhiem Museum is wrapping up an exhibit that sounds extremely interesting in the multimedia field called 'Haunted'. Haunted according to the website is a:

"Much of contemporary photography and video seems haunted by the past, by ghostly apparitions that are reanimated in reproductive media, as well as in live performance and the virtual world. By using dated, passé, or quasi-extinct stylistic devices, subject matter, and technologies, this art embodies a melancholic longing for an otherwise irrecuperable past. Haunted: Contemporary Photography/Video/Performance examines myriad ways photographic imagery is incorporated into recent practice and in the process underscores the unique power of reproductive media while documenting a widespread contemporary obsession, both collective and individual, with accessing the past."

Exceptional. Johnny hasn't been to the Guggenheim since the early 90's but will have to head uptown and see this.

As a bonus, here is the online exhibit.
