In other news, water is wet

The Jersey Journal is reporting if new Governor-elect Phil Murphy makes recreational marijuana legal, the price will come come down. See, see, now everyone who's ever bought a dime bag in their life figured this out in college. We kid because we love and there is more to the article than pointing out the obvious. Take a few minutes of time to get your learn on as to how the legalization process might well play out.

So, once again it's 4/20

Parents, do you know where your old bongs you left in the attic years ago are? Your kids might. Parents have a tough job spotting signs of drug use, now on 4/20 we'll hip you parents to foolproof ways of telling.

1) Did you suggest cookies and ice cream for dinner and get a positive reaction? Sorry, your kids are on drugs.

2) Did you stop on a cop show on teevee causing your kids to leave the room?  Sorry, your kids are on drugs.

3) Do your kids constantly borrow the car and pull out panels in the trunk and back seat and load them with "plastic bricks"? Probably nothing.

4) Do hippies and hipsters, often ten or more years older than your child, show up at your door at all hours asking for them? Sounds like your neighbor's kids are selling drugs.

5) Are your teenagers and tweens suddenly into Pink Floyd and Phish? Sorry, your kids are on drugs.

6) Is your teenager filling out a job application to work on Willie Nelson's tour bus? That is some great enterprising kid you have.

So, we hope these helpful foolproof tips for parents can help them through today to ensure their kids are having no fun at all.

It's been about a year, time for the MTA's inconvenient truth

As you'll recall, late last December this area had a whopper of a snowstorm. Legendary in fact. You'll also recall the utter ineptitude New York City responded with. Here in New Jersey there were problems yes but nothing like the hash the Big Appletini made of the blizzard. One story that stood out in helping explain the level of failure was that of the A Train stuck over by the Aqueduct and Rockaway Boulevard stations. Seven hours they sat. Waiting, not knowing, stuck inside. In a blizzard.

New York City Transit President Thomas Prendergast has looked over the reports of the past year, he's heard the experts and analyzed the data. He explained to a City Council hearing on winter preparedness what the data showed:

"We forgot about that train."

That answer is so Jeff Spicoli Johnny hears Ray Walston's voice as the timeless Mr. Hand in Fast Times at Ridgemont High "I Like that. That's nice. You know what I'm going to do? I'm going to leave your words right up here for all my classes to enjoy, giving you full credit of course, Mr. Prendergast."

It won't happen again said Mr Eggonface as the MTA is now instituting 'Advocates' whose only job will be to care for the well-being of any stranded passengers. Kind of like a concierge when your train takes the ziggy. So problem solved and you can all go to sleep knowing a society of advocates have got your back.

Don't give them pepper spray.
