We're so damned lost, where the hell is Innsbruck Austria?
A man using a phone app managed, like ya do, to ride through the Lincoln Tunnel. Probably everyone behind the biker laughed and laughed as he backed everyone up because (helpful hint) there are no bike lanes in the Lincoln Tunnel. Actually Port Authority police said the man was on a food delivery and after being stopped and questioned he showed them the app and that yes indeed it did take him through the Lincoln Tunnel police confirmed. Johnny thinks cops could have let this slide but they did issue the biker a trespass ticket.

Maybe Sigmund Freud was wrong in the case of NJ Transit driver George Simpson
Maybe a tunnel isn't just a tunnel.
George had most likely driven through the Lincoln Tunnel many times in his two and one half years as a bus driver for NJ Transit. Probably a few times through the Holland Tunnel too. Who knew all the while forbidden fantasies were on the boil? Well on June 24 Simpson (and there's no good way to say this) decided he could *ahem* handle his job of driving the bus through the busiest tunnel in America all while bopping the bologna. A librarian who was sitting near the front of the bus took copious amounts of video of the lewd act. She turned it over to NJ Transit who broomed the perv as soon as they saw it and issued a louder than usual apology that something like this could happen.
For his actions Simpson was charged yesterday in Weehawken Township Municipal Court with causing or risking widespread injury or damage.
He also faces charges of lewdness and reckless driving.
If he gets any jail time his roommates are just gonna love hearing what he's in for. There's going to be a new game called 'Bus Driver and the Warden's Wife' is Johnny's guess. You can guess who'll be wearing the dress.
We didn't see Sandra Bullock nor Keanu Reeves behave like this in Speed and we shouldn't see in in NJ Transit busses. NJ Transit will now be forced to put a 'No rubbing the rhubarb' clause in the employment agreement. Happy now George?

Atheist billboard next to Lincoln Tunnel sure to turn some heads
First off, Johnny is not religious in the least. He's NOT a believer in ANYBODY'S God. Now that that is out of the way, no doubt this billboard sponsored by Atheists locally will get people talking. The billboard itself has the following message:
"You KNOW it's a myth. This season, celebrate reason," a silhouetted background shows the three wise men walking towards a manger.
Now no doubt the Christian crowd will be loud over this affront to their very lives but Johnny says GOOD. No group in America should feel somehow threatened because a differing view appears on a billboard somewhere. The 'War on Christmas' crowd will no doubt be attacking this sign as will the usual suspects, not quite rooted enough in their own religion to just accept the fact others may have opposing viewpoints from their own.
It's our belief that freedom of religion for all is also freedom FROM religion for all as well.

Another reason to hate teenagers
Oh those wacky teenagers. A group of teens shut down traffic in the Lincoln Tunnel yesterday, of course at rush hour, roughly 5:15 by running into the tunnel towards New York. Authorities won't say if they had made any arrests or if the teens were somehow corralled. Traffic resumed as normal around 6 pm.
Citizens, the legal bag limit on teens you can hit with your car and still not get enough points to lose your drivers license has been raised to THREE (You CAN hit four but you'd better have a really good reason for the judge).

There's the Holland Tunnel, the Lincoln Tunnel and now the 'Johnny Action Space Punk Tunnel'
That's right rail tunnel transportation fans (and who isn't?), the federal gubmint has given the go ahead to a $5.7 billion ($10 billion after requisite cost overruns and delays) new rail tunnel between New Jersey and the Big Appletini, which Johnny is insisting we at the Jersey City Desk refer to as 'The Johnny Tunnel'.
It'll provide jobs, and lots of jobs, upwards of 40,000 to 50,000 jobs by the time it's done in 2017. The new 'Johnny Tunnel' is expected to make the word a greener place eliminating a possible 22,200 car trips between NJ and NY a day. It's expected to double the rail trips at peak commuting hours leading to much less congestion on the PATH trains as well meaning you citizen might get a seat once in a while.
Good news all around here and well done by those who got their names in the paper...
