Jets and Giants football gameday!

Gotta start early old chaps, with the Jets playing in London this morning, in fifteen minutes in fact. We like the Jets in this one. Despite the fact they laid an egg last week we think the Dolphins just aren't right. The stories pouring out of South Beach are that new mega feee agent signee Ndamukong Suh is already tuning out the coaches and freelancing. That can't be good three games into a season. So yes, we like the Jets and we like that they took their own toilet paper which for some reason has pissed off all of Britain. When you gotta go you gotta go.

The Giants have a tougher matchup today traveling to Buffalo for a meeting with Sexy Rexy and the new-look Bills. Johnny's really of one mind in this game. The Bills love to blitz. They live and die by it. If Eli can stay upright they have a chance. We don't think Eli can stay upright and may well be taking an ambulance back from Orchard Park today. Also, it hasn't yet started snowing in Buffalo. Just thought we'd put that out there.

Fearless forecasts:

New Jersey Jets 23 but w metric system 28
Miami 17 but w metric system 20

Buffalo 24
New Jersey Giants 21

A quick note on the J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS game today

The New Jersey Jets take their talents to South Beach today for a 1pm kickoff against the swimming mammals clad in aqua. This is one of those Admiral Akbar "It's a TRAP!" games for the Jetropolitans. On the road, Miami early in the season where it'll be a cool 86ยบ gametime degrees with intermittent rain. The Jets had a tough loss last week against a top club in the Steelers and host the 49ers next weekend. In between sits a very unsexy Miami team. Historically the Fins play the Jets well and these games tend to be offensive shootouts.

If the Jets can't run today and Miami can, around 4pm it'll be nailbiting time.

Jets and Giants football gameday!

Well here we are, the final act of the 2011-12 regular season. The Giants and Jets are both very much alive and yet very much on life support. The team with the bigger "Bring out your dead..." moment is the Jetropolitans. In order for the Jets to make it to the postseason they need a string of good luck today. A big string of good luck. They must beat the Dolphins in Miami. OK, doable. The Dolphins are very hot right now and the Jets have lost their way so it won't be easy but here is the rest of that lifeline:

Cincinnati must lose at home to Baltimore. Both teams have a lot to play for but Baltimore looks to be a stronger choice here.
Tennessee must lose in Houston. Will Houston be resting players at some point? Tennessee doesn't really scare anyone do they?
Denver or Oakland must lose. The Broncos host Kansas City while the Raiders face San Diego at home. We think Kansas City, which has won maybe once in Denver since Len Dawson was their QB will continue that pedigree. The Raiders? Who knows, flip a coin.

Possible.

If they don't win and get in it's more than time to ask the question in Mark Sanchez wasn't more of a fashionable sexy draft pick than a smart franchise move for a QB. Stats don't lie after all this time.

Now, the team that stomped the Jets like narcs at a biker rally, your New Jersey football Giants, have an easier and more direct path which would be to beat Dallas at home tonight. That's all. Pass rush, harass, hit, annoy and sack Tony Romo out of existence and the playoffs beckon. They should be able to do that. Dallas also has a very unsteady head coach in Jason Garrett who doesn't seem to do them any favors at key moments. Free up next weekend Giants fans.

Fearless forecast:
New Jersey Giants 31
Dallas Cowboys 17

New Jersey Jets 27
Miami Dolphins 26
Alas, the Jets playoff scenario mountain is just too high to climb and we think they're done after today. Nice guarantee at the beginning of the season there Rex.

Giants football gameday!

Well New Jersey pigskin fans, the New Jersey Jets are on a bye week this week and so are the New Jersey Giants as they play 0-6 Miami (snork) at the New Meadowlands for a 1 pm kickoff. We can make this gameday thread pretty quick by simply saying that at 4-2, if the Giants lose at home to the 0-6 Dolphins Tom Coughlin shouldn't last 'til Tuesday. Run the ball Giants. Keep running it. When you're tired of running it on Miami run some MORE.

The Giants will benefit from Dallas playing Sillydelphia tonight where someone is guaranteed to take a loss. So long as the G-Men win in the snow decorated New Meadowlands, Giants fans can sit back and know they have put the hay in the barn early today and can cheer for Dallas and the Shegals to kill each other tonight.

Fearless forecast:
Giants 31
Dolphins 10
