And now for something completely different...

Johnny had someone show him this video this morning. It's someone online who goes by AirPano and they have won and also submitted some utterly jaw dropping images in the Epson VR 360ยบ Pano photo contest. Here's what it has to say on the YouTube channel:

In 2014 AirPano Team again did a great job at the Epson International Pano Awards. Dmitry Moiseenko took the first place in "VR / 360 Photo" category. There are 5 top places in every category. In addition to the main prize Stas Sedov and Dmitry Moiseenko took 4th and 5th awards in "VR / 360 Photo" category. A large number of works of our project also hit the Top 50.

The video is 7 minutes long so take some time, sit down and truly enjoy this planet we call Earth.

Calling all photographers and lovers of old warehouses

No Parking signs next to the old warehouse at Warren and Bay St. warning of 'concrete removal' beginning Monday and lasting til the end of the year have been posted. Johnny has a pretty good idea Toll Brothers is going to tear that warehouse down as part of their downtown clusterfuck where they create parking issues and tons of litter (not to mention their workers urinating in public) for local residents to deal with.

So if you're a photographer who loves old buildings you have 36 hours to shoot that particular warehouse.

More proof you can find beauty in the most common things

Johnny was out with the dire wolf this morning as always and saw something very beautiful. See if you can guess what this is a picture of and Johnny will tell you the definitive answer in comments.

Dense fog advisory in effect from midnight tonight to 10 am EST Sunday...

So get those cameras out and put on a pot of coffee, fog makes every picture better. You should have seen what it did to enhance Johnny's senior picture back in high school.

Looks like more filming today in the Powerhouse Arts District

On a hunch, Johnny drove by the area near Provost and Bay St. this morning after seeing something being filmed or photographed yesterday on his way back from the river for the Fleet Week parade of ships. Happy to report citizens, the film crew is back today. It could be anything, a photospread, a commercial or a TeeVee or movie.

Drop by and see if YOU can get noticed. It's how Johnny started...

Snow scene from today

Johnny submitted this photo to the New York Times earlier today where, on their front page, they were asking for reader submissions of today's snowstorm but apparently they hate snow in New Jersey and didn't use it...
