A snowy walk through the Powerhouse Arts District

What a pretty snow this morning friends, unless you were driving in it. Just a beautiful Friday morning in our fair city...

If your car gets hit by snowballs in Hoboken, keep driving

A woman with a car full of friends driving in FuHo on New Year's Eve/morning was hit with snowballs while driving down First St. When the unidentified woman and MOST of her friends got out to confront the snowball throwers by walking up the block, when they came back to their car it was gone daddy gone. Yep, they were hit with snowballs as a ruse and when they wandered too far from the vehicle it was pinched. Now, normally that's where this tale would end. Except when there was a drunk passenger asleep in the back seat. The car thieves added kidnapping to their charges when they are found after a 30 year old woman awoke in the back seat during the heist. The drunk passenger was let off in Union City unharmed.

Sick of the snow yet? Another big storm hits late tonight

A day and a half long winter storm is expected to initially dump between 4-8" of powder with more overnight Thursday all the way into Friday afternoon threatens to drop even more. Look, it could be worse, upstate NY into Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine will be experiencing huge snow (measured in feet not inches) with hurricane force winds, yes, we said hurricane.

Suddenly 4-8" isn't so bad

The Jersey City Desk Action Weather team is tracking another snowmaker

Starting Monday evening after 9 pm and before you drag your sleepy head off your pillow Tuesday morning Jersey City and the surround will have gotten between another 3-6" of powder. Maybe those trains are looking like good transportation Tuesday morning if you drive.

Well the Mets need pitching and this guy has some free time

So as part of his sentence let's send him to spring training and see what he's got. Bayonne's own Timothy Rolek was arrested for throwing snowballs at a fire engine and later an ambulance making emergency runs on New Year's Day. Rolek was spotted by a Bayonne fire captain around 10 pm throwing snowballs at a fire engine as it headed north on Avenue C at 33rd Street.

The Mets DO need bulllpen help and chances are Rolek would come cheap is our guess...
