Jersey City has surpassed Princeton as the city with the most members of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). Amol Sinha, the new ACLU-NJ executive director, was excited by the new leader of the pack:
"It indicates a demographic shift," Sinha told The Jersey Journal. "We have a membership base that is immigrant-heavy, that probably speaks multiple languages ... it really indicates a true diversity in our membership. That's really exciting."
Today ACLU memberships, tomorrow the tallest building and most populated city.
