So, homework assignments from earlier this week. Everyone did their reading of the The 150 Greatest Albums Made By Women and listened to a lot of those incredible albums and cuts from those albums, right?

Johnny did read and re-read the rules if you will and how these choices were quantified. This very night he wanted to have answers for the pupils on why one would say in a list named The 150 Greatest Albums Made By Women we'd have the B-52's with Fred Schneider being such an integral part of the albums, or Chris Stein of Blondie with co-writing credits on almost everything. The Pretenders who Chrissie Hynde herself said were a James Honeyman-Scott tribute band for a while make it on such a list. The truth is sometimes we do have to suspend all belief in numbering and rating. You bet Sarah McLachlan deserved a slot on her own merit in the top 150 albums, but we understand their reasoning ie lumping too much in with Lilith Fair here.
