#WinterStormNachos is set to arrive in the tri-state area overnight as this nor' easter moves north up the coast. The Jersey City Desk Action Weather Team is predicting 3-5 inches of snow starting around midnight with morning bringing sleet and freezing rain. Our listening area shouldn't get much more than a light dusting of ice, certainly nothing like earlier this week. But just in case we do, Johnny will link this story to Wunderground so he can't get sued if you read this and go drive off the Turnpike and slide into a Burger King.

Let's talk about how much tomorrow is going to suck today

'Round midnight as this nor' easter starts to hit New Jersey it's going to start to rain. And rain. And rain. The northwest counties north and west of Bergen and Winterfell up by the Wall will get around 6 inches of snow from this mess. For us lowlanders it's a wet and wild Tuesday with 2-3 inches of rain, periods of it very heavy and the usual 20-30 mph winds. Anytime it rains here you know it floods and there will be a Flood Watch from midnight til late tomorrow and a Coastal Flood Advisory in effect from 7 am to 11 am EST Tuesday.

Johnny will do his best to rally the troops tomorrow as we're enacting the Emergency Super Happy Fun Day Protocols that can be put in place to cheer up Jersey City on such a rude day.

Big snow storm coming? Nah, just an inch or two

The big nor' easter heading up the eastern seaboard tomorrow did have the potential to drop a stunning amount of snow on us but luckily it'll just be two inches maybe with some of those howling winds. In the meantime how about we enjoy a beach scene together?

Winter Storm Cupid is intensifying, expect moar snowz

The National Weather Service has indicated that #WinterStormCupid could now drop upwards of 14" of snow and ice across parts of the Garden State tonight and tomorrow. The snow is expected to get here around midnight for Jersey City and the surround and once it gets going it'll get going fast and stick with us for a while:

Snow is expected to begin falling in New Jersey around midnight, and will continue throughout the entire day, impacting both the morning and afternoon rush hours, Pollina said. Bunker said the peak of the storm will be just in time for Thursday’s morning commute. The current winter-storm warning doesn't expire until 6 a.m. Friday.

Also of note for the surround, the temperatures are cold enough (No, reallllly?) for no icing to be associated with this storm, it'll start as snow and end as snow.
