On the 5 year anniversary of Superstorm Sandy, a nor'easter will hit Sunday

Those winds are about to intensify quickly and the dousing rain will arrive this afternoon. If you have any lawn chairs still out from summer, or plastic Santas and reindeer from Christmas still on the lawn please pick those up lest the wind to it for you. Johnny just went downtown a few minutes ago and yes, his first fear was confirmed, things are starting to blow off the taller buildings downtown, especially the ones still in progress. Do keep your eyes out around new construction sites.

When it comes to this budding nor'easter and how much snow it might drop on the metropolitan Jersey City area, (including NYC) Johnny's best guess is around 2 inches of wet snow.

It's never too early to start thinking about Thanksgiving

Especially when a huge nor'easter could be bearing down upon us anytime from late Tuesday of next week to Thanksgiving morning. Will it be rain? Will it be snow? Will it be hail? Will it be toads and frogs? Forecasters don't know yet but they do say if this mess hits us it'll screw everything up from travel to parades (could be too breezy for the cool balloons) to the price of cranberries (Johnny has no idea, it just sounded good).

One meteorologist, Chuck U. Farley from down in Cape May, said this storm might bring about the end times.

So let's hope he's wrong...
