Keeeeef, with one his favorite songs, one he said he'd re-release every year he was walking this planet, the Christmas time standard written by Chuck Berry 'Run Rudolph Run'.
Happy 66th Birthday Keef. How many of you had that number in your death pools? In another 100 years the only things around will be cockroaches, microwave burritos, and Keith Richards.

Friday night MULTIMEDIA EXTRAVAGANZA with HARVEY DANGER!
What? It's Harvey Danger with 'Flagpole Sitta'. Maybe a couple bad words but really, you're big people.

The Winter Storm has been UPGRADED now to 6-12" inches with higher amounts in mid and southern New Jersey and a BLIZZARD Warning for Long Island. The Island could be looking at up to 18 inches of snow and 45 mph winds. The weather centers just said this could even grow BIGGER yet depending on temps out ahead of the storm which are not warming up as much as anticipated.
Hooooooey Man
The snow starts locally between 12-3 pm tomorrow and will go on all night.

Oh hell, let's just have some fun today...
As we await the snowstorm, it's Friday, many people start a long vacation today and Johnny's all alone here in the Jersey City Desk offices (Zoltron's zipping around in the Jersey City Desk Action Weather Dirigible so look out for that and don't shoot at it).

Now, on with some musical FUN, who here remembers Donnie Iris? 'Love is Like a Rock' is the call this morning.

It's our first winter weather warning of the season kids, we may get a white Christmas out of it
It sounds to Johnny via the local weather bureaus and Zoltron here in our own Jersey City Desk Action-Weather team we're in for at least 2-4" of powder beginning tomorrow afternoon with more, much more predicted overnight Saturday into Sunday. What's 'much more'? That's for us to know and you to find out.
From the good people at Wunderground:
Saturday
Cloudy. Snow likely...mainly in the afternoon. Snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible. Brisk with highs in the lower 30s. Northeast winds 15 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 60 percent.

Late night open thread
June 12, 2010, book that date America. We all have something to do together. You don't get to be America by hiding from challenges. You don't get to be America by taking on the less defended beaches at Normandy. You don't get to be America without liberating Europe. You don't get to be America by not inventing rock and roll, the automobile and the cures for diseases that cripple children. You don't get to be America by losing the 1980 Olympic hockey game to the USSR.
We're America for a reason. And on June 12, America has a date with destiny in South Africa. You see that'll be the USA's first World Cup match and lookie see who us Yanks have a date with. Why it's England. The nation that talks football (as they call it) like it's their game. An epic match to be certain. Was it England who recently upset #1 ranked in the world Spain in the Confederations Cup? Oh, no, wait, that was America. Who was the only team not to lose to Italy in the last World Cup? Was that England? Nope, it was America. America seems to be getting this soccer thing together. And England, for all their across the pond talking have won exactly ONE World Cup title. One. It's time the colonies whip mother England's behind once more.
June 12, 2010. England says we have no chance. They tell us the Three Lions Squad is going to overmatch the USA. They say they'll bury us under the pitch.
You don't get to be America without proving yourself on the field of play.

Normally you remember someone illegally channeling 30 large into your re-election account
Not Mariano Vega, nosiree Bob. Even though FBI agents say they have him meeting no less than six times with Solomon Dwek over meals, Vega, the day before he was arrested this summer apparently lied to the FBI saying he'd never seen Dwek before in his life. Despite the fact Vega's buddy Maher Khalil has pled guilty to basically what Vega is charged with (except the lying) and was there at the time, Vega says he has no intention of pleading guilty.
The FBI says they have it on tape, all of it. So far of everyone who has been charged in the big sting--not one has been found not guilty. Many have pled guilty, many have been sentenced so it sure appears the FBI has their ducks in a row, and it sure seems Mariano Vega is intent on dragging Jersey City's name through the dirt on his way to jail.
Just resign, you'll still get your day in court but your usefulness as any kind of city representative has long since passed if it ever existed to begin with. Mr. Vega, you're a disgrace.

Woodrow Miller needs to spend MORE time in front of the TeeVee watching CSI and Forensic Files
Ya see Woodrow, if you're going to clean up a POSSIBLE murder scene (Miller as you may recall was the only other person at the scene of the shooting of Quaneera Adams who sadly died from the gunshot) while the victim lies alive on the bed and THEN call 911 you not only look guilty as hell, you're gonna bring the full force of criminologists down on your dumb ass.
You cleaned up the scene BEFORE calling 911? Gee, nothing strange about that now is there Woodrow? We're also sure the blood on your clothing was a coincidence.
Miller has been arrested in connection with the crime but has not as of yet been charged with murder.
Johnny hears they have teevee in prison where people like Miller can catch up on watching CSI and Forensic Files.
