This supposed snow storm tomorrow night, yeah you can skip that

After miss after miss on huge snow amounts we've been supposed to get this winter, and seing as how tomorrow night's storm started at 4-8", then 3-6", then 1-3" until now it's someone throwing confetti and sleet...maybe.

Bottom line, we think you'll live to see Monday.

If you can stay inside for a while today, do that.

The fog you see outside is freezing rain and the sidewalks and streets are skating rinks. No word from our mayor from his mobile office in a Jersey City plow truck but we have faith he's on top of things. JFK was shut down earlier due to a plane sliding off the runway so yeah, if a plane can slide out there so can you. Do be careful. This should change over to rain starting around 2pm. Then get your marketing done because after say 3pm tomorrow outside is going to be NO FUN. A HUGE blast of Arctic air will come in dropping air temps and wind chills below zero.

Winter Storm Snow Elf will drop 3-5" of powder on us today

As Johnny mentioned on the Twitter yesterday, if The Weather Channel thinks it's OK to make up storm names the NOAA doesn't recognize so can he. Today's #WinterStormSnowElf arrived earlier than predicted so tack on a another couple inches through late this afternoon. Was 1-3" now it's 3-5".

Well, it took long enough but no longer will Hudson County be able to hide from winter as 3-5" of powder is expected beginning after midnight tonight into late tomorrow morning.

We're pretty sure Delaware told Old Man Winter where New Jersey was hiding. Stupid Delaware...

OK, a day late and a snow dollar short, but tomorrow promises to be the first big snow of the season. Some areas of the Tri-State can expect upwards of 7 inches of powder by the time it's all over Monday morning. The snow is expected to begin late tomorrow morning and gradually intensify. We've been upgraded to BLIZZARD conditions beginning tomorrow afternoon with 3-5" tomorrow afternoon and an additional 6-10" Sunday night into Monday morning.

It's a Winter Storm Watch for Hudson County, the Hudson Valley and that big place across the rvier

The Jersey City Desk Action Weather Team has issued a Winter Storm Watch from this evening through Saturday afternoon. Tonight we're expected to get 1-3" of snow with blowing and drifting and another 3-6" overnight into Saturday for a storm total of at least 6".

Now is the time to go to Target and Shop Rite and clean them out of everything so you can subsist for one day in the snow. Hurry, don't let your neighbor go buy the last Duraflame logs.

Could we here in Jersey City and New York City be facing down another snowstorm this weekend?

While southern New Jersey is almost certain to get rocked with up to a foot of snow, weathercasters are saying the slightest variation in direction towards the north could sock our area with maybe 8" of the white stuff.

Bring it on. As for southern Jersey we're of the mind that if the entire cast of The Jersey Shore were snowed in and trapped and had a Donner party type situation the MTV cameras will be rolling to catch every succulent bite ;)

The worst possible storm track is happening. By Monday night we'll have 10-14" of snow here in Hudson County. 40 mph wind gusts, and wind chills near zero. The snow will start slowly later this afternoon and really start in earnest this evening.
