If you woke up this morning, and if you didn't we're sorry, you've no doubt noticed the low clouds hanging around. These are the predecessors of what is left of Hurricane Jose which will glance our coastline as Tropical Storm Jose, tomorrow afternoon, evening and into Wednesday morning. By late morning tomorrow however, it's going to get dicey outside.
Our area can expect some pretty good wind gusts into the 40 mph range and plenty of sideways, annoying as hell, slap you in the face rain. The majority of any coastal flooding (and Jersey City is primed for coastal flooding) will occur Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning. Long Island and southeast Connecticut won't be quite as lucky but sadly, Jersey City can't save everyone. They must rise and fall on their own.
If you have lawn furniture or playground equipment lying about you'll want to ring it inside but this shouldn't be some end of the world type wind and or flooding storm like Irene and Superstorm Sandy.

It'll be a pretty day at least
No, not this morning raw wind and cold shit, the snow. Around 11ish according to the Weatherometers at the Jersey City Desk Action Weather Team stations Jersey City and the surround will get about an half inch WHOA all the way up to an inch, (unless you're on Long Island and Connecticut or out there in Rhode Island (hey Rhode Island!) in which case it's been good to know ya.
So Jersey City you'll probably want to go raid those stores on lunch break to ride this whopper out.

Johnny's first Fearless Pigskin Forecast pertaining to the Big East Conference
We all know from reading this blog Johnny's a Big Ten/MAC guy, it just goes with where you grow up. But, he does love all college football and is ordering his college football package for the teevee tomorrow. He'll do a proper Rutgers breakdown later this week but here now is the Jersey City Desk Big East prediction for the 2009 season.
1. Cincinnati
2. West Virginia
3. Pittsburgh
4. Rutgers
5. South Florida
6. Connecticut
7. Louisville
8. Syracuse
Rutgers could go as high as third but playing patsies on their schedule doesn't really prep you for bigger conference games.

Hal Turner says he will fight extradition to Connecticut
As we noted yesterday, hate speech kinda guy Hal Turner (Sean Hannity's BFF) is in deep doo doo for comments he made towards a couple of Connecticut legislators (and one could argue the Connecticut state police), and has decided to fight his extradition from New Jersey to the Nutmeg State.
We're not so sure about that. Connecticut has some nice areas and Turner doesn't even know which part he'll be headed to. It's got to be better to have a vacation there than simply staying here and rousing up his minions in his day to day drudgery of blogging and screeching hate speech into a microphone. Live a little Hal. See the world. Take a few years off.
New Jersey will be here when you get back...

North Bergen's own 'mouth that roared', Hal Turner arrested for inciting violence on his blog
North Bergen right wing radio host and blogger Hal Turner was arrested yesterday and is awaiting extradition to Connecticut for commentary on his blog to "take up arms" against two Connecticut lawmakers.
Johnny is all about the freedom of speech. He hates these ridiculous laws namby pamby's are trying to institute for supposed cyber-bullying. That being said you cannot say "take up arms" against ANYONE. In this day and age, as we saw in the murder of abortion provider George Tiller, people can and are incited to kill people because of things they read and things they hear online, or in group meetings. It's not just that his threat was aimed at Connecticut lawmakers Sen. Andrew McDonald and Rep. Michael Lawlor over Catholic Parish finance, it's that he made them at all. This IS yelling fire in a movie theatre in our estimation.
You cannot and should not be allowed to sit behind your keyboard and call for violence against others and hope and or expect one of your readers (or in radio's case listeners) and when it actually comes to pass sit back and say "Whoa how the hell did that happen? I'm completely innocent of course as they were just thoughts, words if you will. THEY killed him, I didn't".
We wonder what Turner's BFF Sean Hannity will have to say about all of his.

Simply AMAZING game over at MSG last night, one they'll talk about forever
For a facility that calls itself the most famous arena in the world, the Big East conference tournament game between Syracuse and Connecticut will go down in legend. The Orange outlasted the UConn Huskies 127-117 in SIX, yes, SIX overtimes. The game ended at 1:22 am today. Words cannot do this game justice, though some will try. We'll give you a chance to catch up on it here, and here, here and here.
If you stayed up til the wee hours to watch it, what are your thoughts? Share them in comments....if you're up yet. If you were over at MSG, please tell us what it was like.
