Washington is in the Meadowlands in a meaningless game that if you go to in this weather you deserve the frostbite you'll surely get. Do you want to watch Kirk Cousins beat the G-Men? Of course not, stay home and worry about...

The Browns have clinched the #1 overall pick. With a loss the Giants have the #2 pick locked up. Then they wait for the Browns to make the mistake of picking Rosen or Darnold or Lamar Jackson first, then they take Saquon Barkley. At this point with questions about each QB the Browns would be wise to take Barkley #1 and if the Giants want to pick one of those three the Browns would have two more to choose from. Wait, what about the Colts? Good question. One of the more intriguing games today is in Indy where Houston, directly behind the Colts in the draft order goes to finish the season. If the Colts win today the Browns will draft #1 and #3. If not it'll be 1 and 4. The Colts are not going to take a QB with Andrew Luck so again, the Browns would have two of the three to choose from.
1) Cleveland Browns -- In Pittsburgh for their yearly hiding
2) New Jersey Giants -- Hosting Washington with subzero wind chills
3) Indianapolis Colts -- At home to Houston. GO COLTS!
4) Houston Texans -- Just lose in Indy, find a way
5) Tampa Bay Buccaneers -- Where are your Buccaneers? Under my Buc'n hat

Giants football Gameday!
Johnny is calling his first timeout today on playing Christmas music to cover those wacky Giants and their chase for a high draft pick. The story heated up overnight with UCLA QB Josh Rosen saying if the Browns would take him at #1 overall he might just stay in school.
The Giants are in Arizona today for a 4:25pm game...
OK, enough about the game, it's time for the wildly popular 'Draft Watch" portion of our show.
Draft Watch®
Cleveland 0-14
NY Giants 2-12
Indianapolis 3-12
Houston 4-10
San Francisco 4-10
The Browns can clinch the #1 overall pick with a loss in Chicago today or a Giants win in the desert. The Bears FYI are percentage points behind SF for the 5th spot in the draft. Know what, it won't ultimately matter but the Browns are winning today. They are.
The Giants, and this is where the real news today comes in, just need one more loss to clinch #2. That news? UCLA QB (sounding like an entitled little piece of shit like John Elway, Eric Lindros and Eli Manning before him) Josh Rosen says he wants to play for the Giants but not the Browns. His royal highness is considering another year of Pac-12 excitement rather than go to Cleveland. Fuck him.
Indianapolis will play a huge role next week vs Houston but already lost on Thursday.
Houston by losing today vs Pittsburgh and next week vs Indy would give the Browns at least the #1 and #3 overall picks. Lose Houston lose!
San Francisco is on a 3 game winning streak but still not off this list.

Giants football Gameday!
Nick Foles, LOL. We're not laughing at the fact Carson Wentz got hurt EVEN THOUGH Johnny is a Browns fan and Wentz made the recently shitcanned former Browns GM Sashi Brown look like an idiot each and every time he led the Eagles to victory. No, Johnny is laughing because so many in Philly think somehow, someway this will still be their magical season. Oh sure, the Eagles will probably still have more than enough to tip the Giants at the New-but-rapidly-aging-Meadowlands today. However, if they think Foles will lead them past The Rams, The Vikings or maybe a slugfest with The Seahawks or one of the NewCaroLanta triplets from the NFC South for two weeks and then win a Super Bowl? Check your lane Iggles fans.
Now, onto the important things...like draft picks.

Cleveland - Boy the Brownies made it closer than it needed to be last week vs Green Bay. Browns fans both cursing and thanking DeShone Kizer for that OT INT. Browns are at home today for the last time this year vs. Baltimore who are clinging to wildcard hope. Cleveland would love nothing more than to ruin the Grackles season. Division game, cold weather, Art Modell is in hell, yadda yadda yadda. Bet Baltimore but keep an eye on this one.
Giants - Lose today, and lose one of your next two and you'll do no worse than the #2 pick because believe it or not, the G-Men have a truly sad strength of schedule, worse than Cleveland or...
Indianapolis - Losing Thursday, very smart. Andrew Luck wants a left tackle. So does his family and AFLAC
San Francisco - The 49ers would appear to have their QB of the future in Jimmeh Garoppolo. He has this mess on a two-game winning streak
Da Bears - Good loss to the Lions yesterday moves the Chicago Eleven back into the top 5.
Houston - Know why Johnny put the Texans on the list at #6? That's Cleveland's draft pick Starvin' Marvin. That's a BAD Starvin' Marvin, it's OUR pick, get away from it.

New Jersey Giants football gameday!
After two weeks the Giants can't get out of their own way. The offense is a mess and the defense got beat last week by a backup QB who hadn't played since 2010. They are 0-2 and if they get to 0-3 Johnny predicted Tom Coughlin's demise. Giants fans know exactly how last year started and with a loss to Houston today they are halfway there. Still, hope remains.
Eli has looked lost in the new Green Bay-type offense. He's a good QB and given time he'll pick up what needs doing. Time isn't something he has however. The quality of those running the rest of the cheese-based offense needs help, help that isn't coming in the form of Odell Beckham Jr. this week either. If Manning were going to be chased around by J.J. Watt and Jadaveon Clowney there would be no hope the way the Giants offensive line has played. Clowney however is out. So is top flight RB Arian Foster. The Giants ARE at home for what that's worth on this steamy September Sunday. At some point this team has to decide if they are going to make a stand or chase the Washington team to the bottom of the NFC East. Sure it'd be better if Jacksonville or Tennessee were at the New Meadowlands today but Houston it is. Sorry friends.

Another day of playoff football awaits
Who ya got Jersey City? Will the Falcons finally shed the "playoff loser" mantle bestowed upon them by even the casual fan or will the Seahawks from waaaaay up there in Seattle stay on the hot ride they're on? Will pretty boy Brady be able to keep working his Foxboro in January magic now that a win ensures a rematch of last year's AFC title game with the Ravens? Can Houston gain some advantage in that it'll be in the mid-50's in New England today?
And where's the nacho chips? Are we out?

Jets and Giants GAMEDAY!
Well kids football weather arrived with a vengeance last night which should make for some extra good tailgating out at the New Meadowlands later today and tomorrow night. Tailgating is always better when you're not wiping sweat off your face.
Johnny's Cleveland Browns roll into town to face the defending Super Bowl champs for a 1 pm kickoff. These are not the same old Browns Johnny will have you know. These are a whole set of new bums from the last bunch that couldn't win (That stunning red-ass beat down Cleveland put on the Giants on a Monday night a few years back excepted) any games. Let's face it, if the NFL used relegation like they do in European soccer the Browns would be playing in the Mountain West Conference by now. They do have stud rookie runningmouth back Trent Richardson who basically called the Giants defense slow this week. Trash talking from the position of an 0-4 record. Oh boy, Oh boy, oh boy. While Richardson shows promise the Giants defense will have to contain the near-death experience that is Cleveland's passing attack. OK, that's done. The Giants offense might take a few series to really get rolling as if there is one thing the Browns' defense has historically done it is to create turnovers, namely INT's. The Browns do it well. Cleveland sports a stout defense, top 5 in the NFL currently. Still, stay away from obvious mistakes and certainly Tom Coughlin's staff can outwit and out-prepare Pat Shurmur's staff in the Giants offensive gameplan. If for whatever reason, as odd as the chances seem, if the game gets down to field goal kicking, Phil Dawson is an ace. Advantage Cleveland. Lose the game Big Blue and you will not want to see tonight's late night open thread.

And if any of you have ever wondered why the Browns are the only team without a logo on their helmets perhaps this will help you understand, I give you the real Cleveland Brownie 'mascot'

Compared to the Jets however the Browns may well seem like "Air Coryell" this week. The Jetropolitans host the new NFL "it" team, Houston on Monday night. Santonio Holmes is out for the season. Tight end Dustin Keller? Yeah he's not playing tomorrow. Neither is WR Stephen Hill. Whatever is left of the Jets receiving corps is still getting the ball distributed by Mark Sanchez or at some inevitable point Tim Tebow. Just bleak. The Texans come in undefeated and looking like top contenders in the AFC. They have balance on the ground and in the air. Their defense is bottom of the pack but when you offer offensively what the Jets have left that defense looks better. As good as this game looked at the time it was scheduled, it looks like a dog today.

The New Jersey Giants are at home today while the New Jersey Jets travel to Houston
Johnny's gotta be careful with this, his wife is a devout Redskins fan so he'll just say kickoff at the Meadowlands is at 4:15 pm today against said Redskins. The Jets meanwhile are down in Houston to begin their season and are on at 1 pm.
