Flash flood warning in Bergen and Passaic counties until 11:45am

Johnny's great 'Listening Station of Doom' device tells him authorities have just issued a flash flood warning for Bergen and Passaic counties until 11:45am from runoff from the overnight rains. 

If you've got a cup of coffee in your hand reading us on your laptop in a basement in Edgewater you might want to stick your head above ground and take a look-see. 

Oh, Orange and Rockland counties in New York, you're under the same warning. 

Try not to be the person who gets stuck in fast moving rising waters in your Fiat 500 and need fire and rescue to save your ill-advised fanny. Most flood deaths happen in cars. 

There is also a high wind warning until noon this morning making the morning commute so darned pleasant. 

Governor Christie thanked President Obama out of reflex at a presser this morning.

If you are heading into lower Manhattan on PATH today, go early and stay late

PATH service to and from the WTC stop will be halted at 3pm today until at least 6pm as President Obama visits the National September 11 Memorial. He'll later head over to Carrie Bradshaw's house in the Village where she lives with Ferris Bueller for a fundraiser.

PATH is going to run as many trains as possible from Journal Square and Hoboken to 33rd Street during the closure, officials said.


The Exchange Place stop will also be closed lest creepers get down ob the platform, head through the tunnels, under the river, beat the Secret Service and the NYPD security detail, and get at the President. What, it could happen.

Say Mayor Healy, Johnny spoke with you eons ago when you were running for your last term. You rightly pointed out you were the first mayor of a big city to endorse this President as a candidate. How about calling in a favor and have him speak and or raise money here? We'd love to have the President (and don't get all angry readers, Johnny means only to respect the office of President. The last guy was an assclown but would command respect should he choose to speak as President in JC) say give a speech at the Katyn Memorial or somewhere along the river. Certainly he'll need support during the campaign, seriously, call in a favor and have him speak here.

PATH to suspend service to WTC around noon

President Obama, the great Osama killer, will be meeting with families of the 9/11 attacks and will lay a wreath at the site of the Twin Towers this afternoon and PATH will be stopping all PATH service into WTC for what they say will be about an hour. If you are headed over expect security to be on full alert and that means it could take a while to get where you're going.

If you have business this afternoon at Newark airport or in Edison, leave yourself extra time to get around

The President of the United States will be arriving at Newark Liberty airport early this afternoon and then it's off to Edison for a meeting with local business leaders at a sammich shop. President Obama isn't expected to hang around the Garden State that long (the Secret Service told Johnny to stop calling for interviews) and should be back at Newark Liberty later this afternoon.

Obviously this means your commute times in these areas is gonna is going to grow. If you're headed to the airport or Edison today please plan ahead.
