What an utter shame that Detroit Tigers pitcher Armando Galarraga's perfect game was jacked on such a pathetic call by first base umpire Jim Joyce. There have never in baseball history been three perfect games in a season. This would have set the record. It's only happened twice, two perfect games in the same season, this year and in the 1880's. To his credit Joyce admitted he blew the call after the game and cost Galarraga his perfect game.
As maddening as it is what can ya do? There does seem to be a LOT of push online tonight to get commissioner Bud Selig to act in 'The Best Interest of Baseball' and overturn the call. Technically he does have the power and the fans hoopla is only saying end the game when it really ended and award him the perfect game. Your thoughts?

Yes, I feel he should overturn. Even Jim Joyce admits he was wrong.
I actually agree with you Jim. I mean there is an obvious stopping point with that call, the Indians didn't rally after it happened or even get a hit. Last night I didn't think the commish should change it (the purist in me) but my practical side won out after sleeping on it.
So, why can't the play be reviewed like the NHL when they send the play to Toronto so they can make the right call??
it seems that since it was a perfect game, made no so by a bad call, it should be overturned by Bud Selig.
At least Gallaraga will have a DVD copy of the game since he knows that he pitched a perfect game.
and what a class act. Gallaraga handled the incident excellently without pitching a bratty fit on television.
