One more before the Music Series later tonight

Of course it's the brilliant version of Alison Krauss and The Chieftains performing the old Irish lament, 'Molly Ban (Bawn)'

Magnificent.

Johnny loves this one so much he's wiling to sit through an ad for it

Johnny goes to great pains when he posts a video here from YouTube that it should never run an ad beforehand. Just trying to be considerate before something runs itself on autoplay screaming NARWHALS NARWHALS NARWHALS! Yes, this one has an ad.

Alison Krauss and The Chieftains with the Irish lament of 'Molly Ban' (which you English-folk would pronounce Molly Bawn). It's simply one Johnny looks forward to every year and has been known to cheat and listen to it in June or September as well.

An old Irish lament to kick things off on St. Patrick's Day 2013

Sadly with St. Pat's falling on a Sunday we may not have the rousing party atmosphere we usually do but stick close today as we'll have some real fine Irish songs. As we said, we'll start with this old Irish lament, Molly Ban (pronounced Bawn) with Alison Krauss and The Chieftains.

Lucky the Lucky Charms leprechaun has a right fine song for your morning coffee

And who is to know just what is being put into your coffee? Hey we don't judge, go crazy, it's Friday.

Something morning smooth to kick off the St. Patrick's Day celebration this year, Alison Krauss and the Chieftains with the old Irish lament, Molly Ban.

It's a traditional St. Patrick's Day celebration here at the Jersey City Desk

It's tin whistles and uileean pipes today kids. Zoltron is even changing his name to Seamus for the day. We'll kick it off with an amazing and heartbreaking rendition of 'Molly Ban' performed by the matchless Chieftains with Alison Krauss.
