Johnny was emptying his pockets of change the other day and noticed a wheat-back penny among the coins. He did some looking real hard as the date was rubbed way down but he finally was able to decipher that that penny was minted in 1911.
Have you ever found a very very old coin or very strange coin you wondered about how it came to you?

or a better question would be How much could it be worth?? Is Johnny a millionaire and not know it??
I'm going to have to check. The last time I checked the monetary total I could sell this blog for was around $700 bucks so it all adds up
Ask cashiers, we get the goods. I had a customer who it seemed was a nurses aid or something and was obviously stealing someone's coin collection bit by bit.
She'd show upon random mornings and buy a piece'o'crapprepackaged brownie and pay with mercury dimes and real silver quarters and half dollars.
Also have gotten pesos for quarters and Bahamian pennies instead of US. Even the occasional pfennig when receiving change.
Got a near mint condition silver certificate when I exchanged my US for Swedish at the Sverige bank once.
Cheers,
Stell
Wow, Stell, maybe I SHOULD look into this 1911 penny
