It's a three-fer of not guilty pleas by Jersey City officials

And if we have three city officials pleading not guilty on the same day it's time to buy a lottery ticket. Actually, for as sad as this whole graft situation is for people here in Jersey City, this does go a long way to cleaning up the bums running the show. Leading off is former Jersey City council President Mariano Vega who keeps insisting he's innocent (Note to Mariano, you cannot be found innocent as you keep proclaiming, you can only be found not guilty), Jersey City Municipal Utilities Authority commissioner Joseph Cardwell pled not guilty as did Jersey City Housing Department employee John Guarini. It really is stunning to see how far the Solomon Dwek dollars trickled into the machinations of the JC government.

All these individuals are saying they are not guilty but as we pointed out, oh, yesterday, nobody arrested in the July graft cases has been let go or found not guilty. All have been sent to trial or been sentenced after plea deals.
