Tigers in Five

That got your attention didn't it? In easily the sexiest first round MLB playoff series Johnny's going with Verlander, Valverde and Cabrera to knock off the Bronx Bombers in five games. The Tigers defense will most likely cost them a game but in thinking back a few years ago when the Yanks played Detroit, with the supposed "best Yankee team ever" New York fizzled against the Tigers pitching. We see that happening again.

Other series:

Texas over Tampa Bay in four
Phillies over the Cardinals in three because it can't be two
Milwaukee over Arizona in four

What a dumbass idea to start tonight's game. Who knows how long this wastes a start for Verlander or Sabathia. The rain is only going to get worse here tonight Trixie. By tomorrow they could have simply played game 1 in better but cooler weather. I watched the Braves closely for a lot of years and after a long rain delay Bobby Cox's starters were out of there. Done for the night. Both these managers are smart enough you'd hope to shut them down for tonight to prevent injury. If Bobby Cox would sit out Glavine, Maddux, Avery, Smoltz and Hudson I'd sit Verlander and Porkchop.

I mean when do you let them start again game 3? No game 4 or 5 then.

Just a rotten idea to play this tonight.
