If you're a music fan Jersey City is the place for you tomorrow night

Friday night at White Eagle Hall, Jersey City bands and artists will play an all Jersey City show to kick off the weekend proper. Now, Johnny won't pretend to know the bands or their music to seem cooler than he's definitely not. He is however excited to have a night to promote the music of the city he lives in:

The diverse line-up includes accomplished blues guitarist/singer/songwriter Debra Devi, doom-metal rockers Black Wail, female-fronted indie-popsters Hey Anna,  the multi-racial reggae collective Universal Rebel, and the red-hot rock 'n' roll duo the Components, who will be releasing their debut album the same night.  Following the bands, DJ Sirena Mari Mercado and the drum corps from Sirelo Entertainment's lauded "Elevate" parties with keep the crowd dancing until closing time.

Someone cool who does know the bands and interviewed some of them for his piece is Jim Testa and he will let you in on much more about the show and what the acts have to say. It's a really nice look at the local music scene. Good stuff.
