The magnificent Patti Smith wrapping up the music series this week. Born in Chicago, grew up in in Gloucester County New Jersey and now lives just north of Detroit. Did you know that Patti's son with former Detroit supergroup the MC5's Fred "Sonic" Smith is married to the White Stripes' Meg White?

Raised in a very religious family Smith famously penned the phrase "Jesus died for somebody's sins but not mine."

Patti Smith and her band with a song she co-wrote with Bruce Sringsteen, 'Because the Night'. Johnny checked the Wikipedia page and immediately saw that whomever did it for this tune was a glaring doofus as this song was not ever produced by Todd Rundgren, it was from the Easter album and produced by Jimmy Iovine. Never trust Wikipedia for this stuff, sometimes trolls get there and wreck it for everyone.
