Every Thanksgiving for the last 15 years The Iron Monkey (99 Greene St.) has offered Thanksgiving dinners to the needy, homeless or whomever else may be in need of a great free no questions asked meal. Former Iron Money general manger Tara Werner said the kitchen and staff are all volunteers and they were able to serve more than 150 dinners yesterday. We'd also like to tip our caps to the following local businesses who also gave of themselves to make The Iron Monkey dinner a success; Made With Love Bakery, Starbucks, the New Jersey Beer Co., and the Restaurant Depot.
Thanks to all involved for making our city a better place to live.
