Unless of course they can show Johnny one team in the NCAA who plays their best game in the first week of the season. The biggest improvements any college football expert will tell you come between the first game and the second game so let's cut the Scarlet Knights some slack. Never has Johnny seen and heard so much needless consternation over a 31-0 win. If anybody wants to make an issue of it to the team it's head coach Greg Schiano who is VERY aware of his teams many mistakes last night.
It's Johnny's guess when sizing up bowl bids later this year will no Rutgers fans or writers will say "Yeah, they shouldn't play in a New Year's Day bowl game, I know they're right on the line to play in such a game but boy were they stinky back in early September against Norfolk State".
