How well do you know your accountant?

With the end of the year fast approaching, many citizens will be hunkering down with their accountants for some end of the year tax planning sessions. Then of course the game changes January 1st as people huddle with accountants over paying the 2011 taxes.

Did you know however that a record number of New Jersey accountants are lying about their education credentials? Not the kind of thing you'd like to find out after-the-fact no doubt. An article in NJ.com this morning says accountants are lying about the classes they have been taking for professional enrichment as well as ethics classes.

Read the article, take a look at what it is saying and then you might just wanna follow up with your own accountant and make sure they are all caught up on classes and can PROVE it to you.
