Saturday night scoreboard edition
Oregon 53
USC 32
Their defense isn't much but boy that Ducks offense is a rocketship daddy-o.
Iowa 37
Michigan St. 6
A Big Ten co-championship is looking likely for Sparty and about 3 other teams tonight.
Connecticut 16
West Virginia 13
This year West Virginia is dressing up as a good team for Halloween.
Syracuse 31
Cincinnati 7
What the hell got into Syracuse? Wheaties? Spinach? A contract with Satan?
Lehigh 44
Colgate 14
Lehigh is ramping it up each week towards this being a special season in Bethlehem Pa. They finish with three games now on the road. Odd scheduling, that.
Penn St. 41
Michigan 31
Michigan State head coach Mark Dantonio has as many Big Ten wins (2) in Michigan Stadium as Rich Rodriguez does. Ponder that and wonder why RichRod is on the hot seat....again. A 4-16 all-time Big Ten record.
Florida Atlantic 21
Florida International 9
Anybody else think Florida just has too damned many football institutions?
Yale 31
Columbia 28
Columbia was behind 31-7 at halftime and rallied but came up just short up in New Haven today.
Tonight's Jersey City Desk Game of the Week®
Sacred Heart 26
Monmouth 25
Marcel Archer plunged in with the winning touchdown from a yard out with 51 seconds to play for Sacred Heart as they got power up and won the game. The win ends a seven year Monmouth mastery over Sacred Heart. Like it says on the bottom of the Heisman Trophy, 'You cannot stop Marcel Archer, you can only hope to contain him'.
