Angry Garden Staters this morning; Jon Bon Jovi passed over for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Johnny's been reading the commentary on many of the local as well as music boards this AM on the news that New Jersey's own Jon Bon Jovi has been passed over for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. Those who did make the cut this year include New Orleans based piano guru Dr. John, alternative musician and songwriter Tom Waits, Alice Cooper Darlene Love and uh, Neil Diamond.

Those left outside looking in this year include New York City's own Beastie Boys, LL Cool J and Donna Summer.

Maybe Jon should buy some property in Michigan if he wants in as fully 10% of the acts inducted into the Rock Hall hail from Michigan. That's not speculation, that's fact. Alice Cooper? Yep, from Detroit.

Have your say on this people, and while you formulate your reply here is Alice Cooper with 'Under My Wheels'.

Bon Jovi is deserving but they may be a victim of the era they came up in - I think many will dismiss them as just a hair band. Never mind that most hair bands are just a memory - Bon Jovi is still touring. And lots of really deserving acts don't make it in the first year of eligibility.

Lord knows they probably sold out Cobo countless times!
