Now here's a real oldie and if a commenter is to be believed a rarity as well. This song was recorded September 2, 1927. You may well be amazed at how good a recording from back then can sound.

Sophie recorded this for Okeh records which was a subsidiary of Columbia, but Okeh chose not to release it because they did not want to compete with with a recording of the same song she did with the Ted Lewis Band a year earlier. Thus it was not heard for about 30 years when Columbia released it on an LP album "Sound of the Twenties"
We have no reason to believe this genre fan to be wrong in which case how lucky we are it was preserved those 30 years. Sophie Tucker with 'Some of These Days'
