A delivery driver on Newark Ave this morning near Grove St. was trying (trying is being generous) to back his truck into a spot. In doing so his right back fender started crushing up and busting a bicycle chained a sign post for safe keeping. It was not a quiet accident. Johnny waved to the driver to let him see what he had just done. He seemed non-plussed and anxious to get away. Johnny mentioned he'd seen him do it and the responsible thing would be to call the police and fill out a report or see if the biker was nearby. The driver chose C) -- Take off.
So owner of now crushed bike, if you'd like a witness and want to file some kind of small claims against the driver (Did we mention we have the company name from the delivery truck?) you let Johnny know, Johnnyactionspacepunkatgmaildotcom.
