Manhole cover explosion sends shockwaves through community

Dateline Christopher Columbus and Marin Dr. A manhole cover blew up real good according to horrified onlookers (This is the part where we should explain we're going to take creative license as to just how big this was) and went straight up. So high in fact one witness said it looked like "It went all the way up to the day moon before falling back to earth and hitting the street." Do you realize if someone were standing on it when it went up they'd have been Crispy Critters by now?

Jersey City Fire Director Armando Roman said he was waiting for PSE&G "to assess, if whatever damage there is, internally." Well heavens yes, check that out. If something down there can shoot a manhole cover up as far as the day moon PSE&G might want to look around and see if there are some meth labs or dragons below street level. Maybe it was sabotage by still-angry Rangers fans.

One more of these go and we're going to think it's a conspiracy.
