Here's a comforting thought for tonight and Sunday

The last direct hit on this area by a hurricane was 1893, the so-called West Indian Cyclone. So what that means is not one of the skyscrapers or even really tall buildings above say 20 stories in New York City and here in Jersey City has experienced the wind and rain intensity like they'll be getting in the next 36 hours.

Only the Statue of Liberty remembers the West Indian Cyclone. She was just a girl at the time, only six years old.

She is omnipotent indeed. Know how many wise-guys she'd had whacked?
