The township of Weehawken turns 150, now that's old

The Township of Weehawken kicked off a year-long celebration of their 150th birthday as they look back and celebrate their heritage. Weehawken is collecting pictures to show the changes over the years. While a book was presented to Mayor Richard Turner chronicling the history of Weehawken, the official ceremoines begin march 15, the actual birthday of Weehawken. On that day they will have a reenactment of the first town meeting, which town historians say was presided over by John McCain.

Historical indeed....

And that's also why the furniture stores there have davenports and chesterfields for sale on President's Day
