Late night open thread

OK Devils fans, Johnny just emptied his piggy bank to get a game 7 seat on Tuesday. You're not gonna let a Red Wings fan buy a ticket to support YOUR team while you stay home and fret out a game 7 are you? Johnny had better see and hear all your smiling faces at The Rock on Tuesday. He wants to see and hear Devils Nation in full throat. Johnny who sometimes gets to analyzing the Devils games he goes to this time will be loudly cheering FOR the Devils. Yep, standing and cheering and stomping his feet. Oh he'll still be wearing his Red Wings sweater but he wants to see a Capitals vs. Devils series in round 2 (Face facts it sure looks like the Rangers are over and done with, and yes he wants to see Pittsburgh try and prove their true worth vs Boston).

One game, loser goes home, winner gets the glory. Would it be too much to hope for overtime? A Devils win yes, but a series ending goal in overtime would be fantastic. Double overtime game 7 series winner anyone?

The Red Wings are going to promptly dispose of whomever they face. Sorry Devil fans...

Hey GTF! Nice to see you!

Thanks. Your skyline photos are much nicer on this blog than the old water tower shot I used to see when you lived in Ypsi.

I got quite a rise yesterday with the plane thing over NYC. What in God's name were they thinking?

Enjoying good sports from around here. Tigers spanked the Yankees; Wings are going repeat; Pistons - too bad. It was nice having a winning basketball team from west of Carpenter Road this year, wasn't it?

Yeah, it wasn't the smartest photo op that's for sure. I watched the Verlander game against the Yankees two nights ago, dominating!

Yeah, Michigan represented well in hoops this year, won a game in the Big Dance I saw.

Oh and as for the better pictures? Better material to work with lol

My son is a big Verlander fan (as am I). Glad to see he can put one together.

Then there is last night - 0-0 and bullpen gives up 10 runs in a single inning. Some of Verlander's problems last year were not providing enough lead for the bullpen. I hope that doesn't resurface this year, but I'm afraid it may.

So I hear the Yankees are now dropping the ticket prices for home games. Tickets are only $1,250 behind home plate. What a deal! I'll stick with the Mud Hens - I can see the game, have a beer or two, and still have gas money to get home!

Good talking with you - I'll stop by from time to time...
