The pride of Jersey City, the St. Peter's men's basketball team, started the season with a bang as Desi Washington scored 18 and Yvon Raymond hit a late 3-pointer and the Peacocks won at Rutgers 56-52. It was the first time St. Peter's had beaten the Scarlet Knights since 2007.
