Jersey City records it's 14th murder of the year

A Greenville man was shot three times in the back becoming Jersey City's 14th murder already this year.

Mr. Mayor, as Johnny pointed out he did get a chance to talk at length with you about a lot of things before the election. Crime was one of them. You felt it was unfair for people to pin the murders on you and we agreed. You certainly had no hand in committing any of them. You are however in charge of the tenor of this city, you help set the mood on the street for how things like this will be handled. You use the computer aided modeling program to try to cut crime, you run the police force, and you help dictate when and where they will be deployed. We'd here at the JCD say 14 murders before June is a bit high. It may be time to use the police as a battering ram in high crime areas, yes, even more than they have been.

Don't be shy about being tough, real tough in some high crime areas.
