Well the Red Wings held serve tonight and won game 1 vs the Penguins. The Wings for once didn't play a particularly dominating game. This should worry the Pens as the Wings still won by 2 goals. An impressive goal by young Red Wing forward Justin Abdelkader helped put this game away. Not a bad deal to make your first ever playoff goal count for so much but young Mr. Abdelkader is USED to scoring huge goals. He helped Michigan State win the NCAA hockey national title two years ago with a last minute goal vs Boston College.
