We're gonna go out on a limb and say maybe police officer isn't the job title she should have

Look, everyone fights their own demons. We all make mistakes, but this is becoming a habit for one local police officer.

Hudson County Sheriff Officer Aleisha Cruz was arrested for a drunk driving incident this past weekend in New York. Details are still coming in but we do know she was stopped at 42nd Street and Dyer Avenue in Manhattan, and Port Authority police arrested Cruz when she refused a breathalyzer. Cruz had been on modified duty due to another alcohol related incident in which she repeatedly rammed another man's car, then him, in 2005. Officials referred to the 2005 incident as a "drunken temper tantrum".

Maybe if she still has a burning desire to fight crime a nice safe desk job would be the place for her. We here at the Jersey City Desk do have immense respect for the badge, but that trust and faith must be reciprocated by officers keeping their noses clean, setting a good example and not putting us in harm's way.

I think she needs to volunteer at a soup kitchen or youth center and find better things to do with her spare time.

Something. It's sad when booze takes control. The article I linked to mentioned she was a sheriff who wasn't allowed to carry a gun because of the last incident. A desk job is important to. There are no unimportant jobs, just some require guns.
