The worst possible storm track is happening. By Monday night we'll have 10-14" of snow here in Hudson County. 40 mph wind gusts, and wind chills near zero. The snow will start slowly later this afternoon and really start in earnest this evening.

I can tell you haven't been a Jerseyite for long - you haven't whined once about why this storm doesn't hit "those states in the middle" who are "used to it" instead. Yes, I had someone who worked in the NY publishing world say that to me once when NYC was getting blasted. I advised her to buy a pair of Sorels and stock up on canned goods.
Yeah, it's a whopper but one a year is kinda fun and cool. Of course the JCD offices are very close to my home and the weather won't inconvenience me in any way. March does seem to bring a bigger share of huge dumps of snow than January or February do.
I'll just put my feet up, throw another log on the fire and play some music...
